The 52nd commemoration of Earth Day is set for Friday, April 22, which in the Catholic calendar is part of the Easter Octave.
In the spirit of resurrection and new life, we have a parish day of activity connected with Earth Day:
8:30am daily Mass (English)
9:15am prayer service for the Earth (outdoors, patio area)
9:30am-Noon work on the church grounds
Noon closing social with food
7:00pm evening Mass with theme for the healing of the Earth.
All are welcome to join for all or part of the day.
A Prayer for Our Earth

All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures.
You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of your love,
that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace, that we may live
as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
O God of the poor,
help us to rescue the abandoned and forgotten of this earth, so precious in your eyes.
Bring healing to our lives,
that we may protect the world and not prey on it,
that we may sow beauty, not pollution and destruction.
Touch the hearts
of those who look only for gain
at the expense of the poor and the earth.
Teach us to discover the worth of each thing,
to be filled with awe and contemplation,
to recognize that we are profoundly united
with every creature as we journey towards your infinite light.
We thank you for being with us each day.
Encourage us, we pray, in our struggle
for justice, love and peace
Día de la Tierra 2022: Día Parroquial de Trabajo y Convivio
La conmemoración 52 del Día de la Tierra está fijada para el viernes 22 de abril, que en el calendario católico forma parte de la Octava de Pascua.
En el espíritu de resurrección y nueva vida, tenemos un día parroquial de actividad relacionado con el Día de la Tierra:
Misa diaria de las 8:30 am (inglés)
Servicio de oración por la Tierra a las 9:15 a. m. (al aire libre, área del patio)
9:30 am-mediodía trabajo en los terrenos de la iglesia
Mediodía cierre social con comida
7:00 pm Misa vespertina con el tema de la sanación de la Tierra.
Todos son bienvenidos a unirse durante todo o parte del día.
