“Ochrana” Newest Addition to Church

Tonight, a new painting will be unveiled by parish artist Pavol Olsavsky to meet the grieving needs of parishioners.

“Ochrana” (Slovak for “Protection”) is Olsavsky’s interpretation of Psalm 91, which has been described by many as the “psalm for the pandemic.” Olsavsky combines the sense of those gripped by fear of plague with a protective and healing presence that is more overpowering.

“Ochrana” will be on display in our Pandemic Memorial Area, and, for special occasions, at the altar area.

Pavol Olsavsky has already created the new twin logos for the parish, as well as the new St. Sharbel portrait.
