Pastor’s Homily — Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ

When we think of the Body of Christ, maybe the first thing that comes
to mind is Holy Communion. But the Body of Christ just as much means
the People of God as it is Holy Communion. When there are
Eucharistic processions in the streets on the feast day, the two go
together: the horizontal and the vertical.
Indeed, even in these readings selected for today, there are people
working together. Pillars are built, young men are offering holocausts,
disciples are following a man with a jar of water, preparations are
being made in the upper room.
We deepen our identity as the Body of Christ by working together.
And, today, representing our NeXt Level group, our parish youth will
talk about how we will begin to work together more in charity and
justice
