News and Notes: November 2022

Maritza Alvarez has announced her resignation as parish music director, after 10 years of service, effective November 20.  She will devote more time to her family.  The entire parish family wishes her well…The parish is discerning interest in applications as her replacement, which we hope to have within the time frame of her departure.

Parishioners and NeXt Level members Joshua Mild and Valeria Morales have been asked by the Center for FaithJustice to speak at the annual National Catholic Youth Conference in California in mid-November.  We wish them well on their travels and their presentation.

Thanks to all who participated or led the recent Day of the Dead festivities. For next year, we are making plans for a multi-day festival.

The sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated Tuesday, November 8, with Bishop James F. Checchio of Metuchen administering the sacrament to 26 of our youth. Congratulations and blessings to them, their sponsors, families and catechists.

Continuing thanks to those who have organized the post-Mass popup food sales.  The sales and resultant fellowship among parishioners have been outstanding!
