After a very successful kickoff Mass on Thursday,March 19, the feast of our patron St. Joseph, our parish Pastoral Council is moving forward with plans for two more big events:
May 1, 2026, Feast of St. Joseph the Worker – Mass 6:00pm with our longest-serving pastor as presider, Fr. Charlie O’Connor. Other former clergy, staff and parishioners will be invited to attend this special Mass.
Provided we have enough RSVPs, dinner after Mass will be at Alley 14 at 13 John St., Bound Brook. We need to guarantee 45 people to attend. Price is $50pp for a sit-down buffet with a cash bar. This will cover all charges, setup and cleanup.
Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 1:30 after Mass – International Church Banquet, on parish grounds.
The celebration will have an international theme, with different tables with food from different representative countries from the parish. Perhaps the different ministries in the parish could have separate tables with different foods.
Also possible during the year…various Fund Raisers…
1) Parish-themed T-shirts and sweatshirts will be available in an Online store from March 22 – April 3 that people can pick out what they want and order themselves. The items would have our logo on them. Some people could be available before and after Masses to help folks with the online process. The items ordered should be at the church by April 24.
2) Bake Sale/Cookies – The Council is also looking at a Mother’s Day Bake sale.
3) Special St. Joseph church ornaments – We could have them for the Mass on May 1. The cost would be $12/$13.
