The period from June 11, 2023 to July 17, 2024 has been designated by the organizers of the National Eucharistic Revival as a period of Parish Revival.
Here at St. Joseph, a couple of early activities to take note of:
Tuesday, May 30 Contemplative Elders gathering (open to all): presentation on the Eucharist (bilingual, 7:30pm).
Sunday, June 11, 9:30am: parish celebration of First Holy Communion.
Summer 2023 through the end of the Revival Period: bulletin announcements with quotes from Pope Francis on the Eucharist.
We’ve preceded this period with a bit of a “Baptismal Revival” in the parish, revising our administrative practices and opening weekday and Sunday Masses again to include the celebration of Baptism. In addition, our parish team has in common shared and discussed a book that focuses on living out of our baptismal mission.
The Eucharistic Revival culminates July 17-21, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN, at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts NFL team, where up to 80,000 Catholics will reconsecrate their faith in the Eucharist.
