Parish Community Garden Starts To Take Shape

Parishioners met on Saturday, March 4 to start organizing and planning for the launch of our parish community garden in late April.

Set for the former site of a majestic, 100-year-old-plus beech tree that succumbed to disease, the garden offers the possibility for up to 20 individual raised boxes for in-need parishioners to grow needed vegetables and other food.  Parishioners are volunteering their services for the design and maintenance of the garden, and the mentoring of prospective gardeners.

Formal blessing and launch of the garden is set for Saturday, April 29 with a special 10am Mass in honor of St. Joseph the Worker.
