End 2025, Start 2026 in Prayer

At St. Joseph, you can begin your New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 31, with our regular weekday morning Mass at 8:30am.  The Mass, for the 7th Day in the Octave of Christmas, will be slightly different in tone from our usual weekday Masses.  There will be lengthier pauses and more silence in the Mass, and the length might be closer to 30 minutes than our usual 25 minute liturgies.

Also, following the Mass, there will be a guided meditation led by our pastor for those who want to use New Year’s Eve as a day of reflection.

The church is open to the public again at 6pm on New Year’s Eve with our usual 20-minute period of silent contemplative prayer, followed by Vespers (in Spanish), and our usual 7pm Spanish Mass, although this Mass will be the Vigil Mass for the Jan. 1 Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.

You can start 2026 with either our 9am Mass in English or 11am Mass in Spanish on Thursday, January 1.
