Day of the Dead, All Saints, All Souls & more

St. Joseph Catholic Community will be preparing for the month of the deceased in November by selling vigil candles to be displayed on an “altar of the deceased” beginning with the weekend of October 28-29 and continuing through All Saints’ and All Souls’ days.

You can purchase your candle in the name of a loved one in the narthex before or after Sunday Masses for $10.

We celebrate the obligatory solemnity of All Saints’ Day November 1 with Masses as follows:

8:30 and 12noon, English language; 7pm Spanish.

For the following day, All Souls’ Day, our regular 8:30am/7pm daily Mass schedule is in effect.  You are invited to a special 9:30am Mass at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, led by our pastor.

Veterans Day is another time to remember a special group of beloved deceased.  On Saturday, November 11, we will NOT have our regular 8am daily Mass, but instead a special 11am Mass in the parish cemetery.

Also, at 5pm on November 11, we will read the list of deceased who died and were commended to the Lord from our parish in the past 12 months.

Please join us for one or all of these commemorations.
